About Me:

I serve as a Location Pastor in a multisite church in Central Illinois. I’ve previously served within Student, Family and Discipleship Ministries.

My wife (Rachel) and I have been married for just under 20 years, and we have been within vocational ministry almost that whole time. God has blessed us with three incredible kiddos and one anxiety filled doggie named Rufus.

I love all kinds of sports, movies, video games and reading books. I tend to be pretty eclectic in my joy of any of these activities. My wife and I also love traveling to new places to enjoy the cuisine in those areas.

About the Podcast:

In my time in vocational ministry, God has connected me to some pretty incredible people. They’ve mentored, challenged, encouraged and cheered for me over the past two decades. I wanted to start a platform that could share what I’ve learned; as well as, connect those people to share what they’ve learned along the way.

I started this podcast with three goals in mind, and I have felt compelled to add a fourth:

  • Educate people thinking about jumping in to vocational ministry

  • Equip those already in ministry

  • Encourage those that are thinking about jumping out

  • Empower Christians to follow godly leaders well
